SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH. To recognize Wednesday, May 17, 2023, as Bankers Day
at the Louisiana State Capitol.

2 To recognize Wednesday, May 17, 2023, as Bankers Day at the Louisiana State Capitol.
3 WHEREAS, since 1900, the Louisiana Bankers Association (LBA) has diligently
4 represented the interests of banks and thrifts operating in the state of Louisiana; and
5 WHEREAS, the LBA is a member-driven organization that works to provide bankers
6 with the tools to serve their customers and communities; and
7 WHEREAS, the LBA's current membership represents one hundred seventeen
8 institutions, which includes state and federal charters, small and large institutions, and
9 locally based community banks; and
10 WHEREAS, the LBA is guided by its board of directors, which includes Chairman
11 Joseph F. Quinlan III (Joey) of First National Bankers Bankshares, Inc.; Chairman-Elect
12 Brain North of Fifth District Savings Bank; Treasurer Michael Vizard of Cross Keys Bank;
13 Immediate Past Chairman Brent Vidrine of Bank of Sunset & Trust Company; Kip Bertrand
14 of Washington State Bank; Mark Marionneaux of Bank of Zachary; Darryl Ellerbee Jr. of
15 Delta Bank; John Cole of Gibsland Bank & Trust Company; Paige Olivier of Bank of Oak
16 Ridge; Ronnie Falgoust of First American Bank; Jeff Ehlinger of BankPlus; Todd McDonald
17 of Liberty Bank & Trust Company; Sam Wilkinson of First Federal Bank of Louisiana;
18 Shively Verrette of Lakeside Bank; Ginger Laurent, Chief Executive Officer of the LBA;

2 WHEREAS, special recognition is given to LBA Chairman Joey Quinlan for his
3 tireless efforts leading the LBA Board of Directors; and
4 WHEREAS, Louisiana's bankers are deeply committed to and involved in the
5 communities they serve and are essential for the state's economic development; and
6 WHEREAS, Louisiana's bankers are devoted to helping customers achieve their
7 goals; and
8 WHEREAS, on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the LBA will host Bankers Day at the
9 Louisiana State Capitol, and bankers from across the state will attend.
10 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
11 does hereby recognize Wednesday, May 17, 2023, as Bankers Day at the Louisiana State
12 Capitol and does hereby recognize the extraordinary efforts and contributions of the state's
13 bankers to the Louisiana economy.
14 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
15 Louisiana Bankers Association.
