Proposed law provides that in addition to any other penalties provided by law, any person who is convicted of a sex offense as defined in present law (R.S. 15:541) may be subject to a vasectomy procedure. (Adds R.S. 14:46.5) Summary of Amendments Adopted by House The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice to the original bill: 1. Authorize, rather than require, a vasectomy procedure for any person who is convicted of a sex offense.
