1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 40:978(I), relative to prescribing controlled substances; to authorize the
3 transfer of a prescription or prescription information for controlled substances
4 between pharmacies; to require conformance with certain federal provisions; and to
5 provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 40:978(I) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
8 ยง978. Prescriptions

10 I. The transfer between pharmacies of a prescription or prescription
11 information for controlled substances is permissible in conformance with 21 CFR
12 Part 1306.
