Prior law designated the portion of La. Hwy. 383 from mile marker 17 to mile marker 19 as
the "Sergeant Major William Arlen Marcantel Memorial Highway".
New law changes the mile marker identifiers from mile marker six to mile marker eight of
La. Hwy. 383 to be designated as the "Sergeant Major William Arlen Marcantel Memorial
Highway".
Effective August 1, 2024.
