HLS 24RS-32 ORIGINAL 2024 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 350 BY REPRESENTATIVE ORGERON SEAFOOD: Authorizes the use of state property for seafood research 1 AN ACT 2To amend and reenact Section 1 of Act No. 160 of the 2017 Regular Session, relative to the 3 Grand Isle Port Commission; to provide relative to the use of certain state property 4 near Grand Isle for seafood research; to provide relative to the specification of the 5 boundaries and size of the areas in which the research will be conducted; to require 6 the port commission adhere to the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission 7 rules and regulations; and to provide for related matters. 8Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 9 Section 1. Section 1 of Act No. 160 of the 2017 Regular Session of the Legislature 10is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 11 Section 1. (A) The Grand Isle Port Commission may use, in accordance with 12 this Act, the following described state water bottoms, water columns, and water 13 surfaces above the specified sections of water bottoms: 14 (1) An area of approximately twenty-five and one-half acres in Caminada 15 Pass, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, circumscribed by lines connecting the following 16 points (projection in North American datum, 1983): 17 (1) (a) The Northeast corner is located at 29 degrees, 13 minutes, 22.45 18 seconds, North, 90 degrees, 02 minutes, 22.46 seconds, West. 19 (2) (b) The Southeast corner is located at 29 degrees, 13 minutes, 12.95 20 seconds, North, 90 degrees, 02 minutes, 28.65 seconds, West.
