SSHB381 4563 4160 HOUSE SUMMARY OF SENATE AMENDMENTS HB 381 2024 Regular Session Braud TRANSPORTATION DEPT: Provides relative to Department of Transportation and Development spending Synopsis of Senate Amendments 1.Makes the provisions specifically applicable to the Belle Chasse Bridge project. 2.Mandates that the department use any revenue or credits generated in connection with the project in the specific ways enumerated in proposed law. 3.Removes from the enumerated list that any revenue or credits generated by the project may be used in ways identified by the contract amendments. 4.Specifies that any use of funds or credits must conform to provisions of the agreement and applicable laws. 5.Requires the department to notify the Plaquemines Parish legislative delegations and receive approval from the Joint Legislative Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works prior to using revenue or credits generated in connection with the Belle Chasse Bridge project. 6.Adds an upon signature of the governor effective date. 7.Makes technical changes. (4)For department projects or improvements within any area identified in the contract for any alternative facility. Proposed law requires that any use of funds or credits generated in connection with the Belle Chasse public-private partnership conform to provisions of the agreement and to all applicable laws. Proposed law requires the department to notify the Plaquemines Parish legislative delegations and receive approval from the Joint Legislative Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works prior to using revenue or credits generated in connection with the Belle Chasse public-private partnership project.
