Abstract: Provides with respect to the imposition of penalties for the lapse of insurance coverage.
Present law prohibits the imposition of reinstatement fees for lapse of insurance coverage for a
period of five days or less, if the violation is the insured's first.
Proposed law extends the period prohibiting the imposition of reinstatement fees for the lapse of
insurance coverage in present law from five days or less to 10 days or less.
