Prior law provided that the La. Dept. of Health (LDH) may educate healthcare providers on
certain Alzheimer's and dementia-related services and care.
New law requires LDH to educate healthcare providers on certain Alzheimer's and dementia-
related services and care.
Prior law provided that the office of public health within LDH may include provisions in its
public health outreach programs that address certain issues relative to dementia.
New law requires the office of public health within LDH to include such provisions and
otherwise retains existing law.
Effective August 1, 2024.
