Abstract: Prohibits a business from charging a debit or credit cardholder certain excess card usage
fees.
Proposed law provides that a retail business shall not charge a surcharge or credit card processing
amount greater than the amount the business pays to process the transaction.
Proposed law provides that a retail business in violation of proposed law shall be liable to the credit
or debit cardholder.
Proposed law defines "cardholder" and "surcharge".
