Abstract: Authorizes the marshal of the city court of Alexandria to collect an appearance bond fee.
Present law provides for the collection of marshals' fees and costs in criminal matters in certain city
courts.
Present law (R.S. 13:2074.4) authorizes the city marshal of Hammond to collect a fee of $20 for
taking an appearance bond.
Proposed law authorizes the city marshal of Alexandria to collect a fee of $30 for taking an
appearance bond in order to supplement the operational expenses of the marshal's office.
Proposed law becomes effective upon Judicial Council approval.
