Abstract: Provides relative to venue for actions involving the Municipal Police Employees'
Retirement System.
Present law provides that actions involving the Municipal Police Employees' Retirement System
shall be brought in the parish of East Baton Rouge or in the parish of the domicile of the retirement
system or employee benefit program.
Proposed law provides that actions involving the Municipal Police Employees' Retirement System
shall be instituted before the district court of the judicial district in which the employer is located.
