RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 79 (HB 537) 2024 Regular Session Bourriaque Prior law required all revenues received by the state from license fees imposed on trappers as required in existing law (R.S. 56:251(A)(1)) be credited to the Bond Security and Redemption Fund. Prior law authorized and directed the state treasurer to transfer annually excess revenues derived from the sale of such licenses into a special fund designated as the La. Fur Public Education and Marketing Fund, in the amount of $20 for each resident trapping license sold and $145 for each nonresident trapping license sold. New law specifies that the state treasurer is authorized and directed to transfer annually all revenues derived from license fees for trapping licenses to the La. Fur Public Education and Marketing Fund. Effective August 1, 2024. (Amends R.S. 56:266(D)(1))
