Abstract: Requires potential arborists to provide proof of application to insurers prior to receipt of
insurance policies for the profession.
Proposed law prohibits an insurer writing general liability and workers' compensation policies in this
state from issuing policies to persons who do not first show proof of application to become licensed
as an arborist, as provided in present law (R.S. 3:3801 et seq.)
