HIGHWAYS/INTERSTATE: Designates the bridge on Louisiana Highway 648 over Bayou
Lafourche as the "Austin Bush Memorial Bridge"
1 AN ACT
2To designate the bridge on Louisiana Highway 648 over Bayou Lafourche as the "Austin
3 Bush Memorial Bridge" and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The bridge on Louisiana Highway 648 over Bayou Lafourche in
6Thibodaux, Louisiana, shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Austin Bush
7Memorial Bridge".
8 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
9hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
10provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
11actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
12exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) or its contractors to erect and
maintain appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private
monies are received by the DOTD equal to its actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting
posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
