Abstract:  Changes the definition of "commercial sexual activity" within the crime of trafficking
of children for sexual purposes.
Present law provides for the crime of trafficking of children for sexual purposes and provides for
penalties.
Proposed law retains present law.
Present law defines "commercial sexual activity" as any sexual act performed or conducted when any
thing of value has been given, promised, or received by any person.
Proposed law amends present law to define "commercial sexual activity" as any lewd or lascivious
act upon the person or in the presence of any child when any thing of value has been given,
promised, or received by any person.
