HIGHWAYS/INTERSTATE: Designates the Bayou Bienvenue bridge on Louisiana
Highway 47 in Chalmette, Louisiana, as the "Senator Samuel B. Nunez Crossing"
1 AN ACT
2To designate the Bayou Bienvenue Bridge on Louisiana Highway 47 in Chalmette,
3 Louisiana, as the "Senator Samuel B. Nunez Crossing"; and provide for related
4 matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. The Bayou Bienvenue Bridge on Louisiana Highway 47 in Chalmette,
7Louisiana, shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Senator Samuel B. Nunez
8Crossing".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
10hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
11provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
12actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installations of each sign, not to
13exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installations of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
