Abstract: Provides relative to the composition of the La. Commission on Law Enforcement and
Administration of Criminal Justice.
Present law provides for the composition of the La. Commission on Law Enforcement and
Administration of Criminal Justice, and provides for 59 members of the commission.
Proposed law increases the membership to 63 by adding four members, one member from Caddo
Parish, one member from East Baton Rouge Parish, and two members from Orleans Parish, each of
whom shall be a community leader with prior law enforcement experience or study within the law
enforcement discipline from a university or law school or an academic expert with prior law
enforcement experience or study within the law enforcement discipline from a university or law
school.
