CONDOLENCES: Expresses the condolences of the House of Representatives on the death
of Cole Stanford
1 A RESOLUTION
2To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Cole
3 Stanford.
4 WHEREAS, it is with immense sadness and profound regret that the House of
5Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana has learned of the untimely passing, on
6February 21, 2024, of Cole Stanford; and
7 WHEREAS, Cole was a fifth-grade student at Our Mother of Peace Elementary
8School in Church Point, Louisiana, who proudly served as an altar server at school Masses;
9he cherished spending his free time on either the seat of a tractor or a four-wheeler, and he
10was a hard worker who was employed in his family business; and
11 WHEREAS, Cole leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his parents, Jonathon and
12Amy Richard Stanford; brothers, Isaac, Brock, and Jacques Stanford; sisters, Blake, Blair,
13Lainey, Lola, and Minnie Stanford; niece, Charlie Braman; paternal grandmother, Barbara
14Stanford; and maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Elaine Richard; and
15 WHEREAS, Cole Richard was a truly beautiful and pure soul, and the legacy of his
16memory will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of
17knowing and loving him.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
19Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express heartfelt condolences on the death of Cole
20Stanford and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that his family, friends, and loved ones
21find comfort in their shared memories of his beautiful life.
