ENROLLED 2024 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 221 BY REPRESENTATIVE MILLER A RESOLUTION To commend the Louisiana Assisted Living Association for its outstanding achievements and to designate Tuesday, May 14, 2024, as Assisted Living Day in Louisiana. WHEREAS, the mission of the Louisiana Assisted Living Association, the principal membership organization representing and promoting assisted living, is to promote the concept of Louisiana senior living and to be the primary resource to educate the public and legislators about Louisiana senior living and the high standards in our communities; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Assisted Living Association remains the voice for assisted living providers, communities, and clients as the association engages a caring, diverse, and dedicated membership seeking to champion excellence in growth, core values, quality partnerships, and a unified stance; and WHEREAS, the demand for assisted living communities will continue to increase as the baby boomer generation continues to age; and WHEREAS, Louisiana Assisted Living Association providers aspire to wisely apply the principles of altruism, excellence, caring, ethics, respect, communication, and accountability as they work with other professionals to achieve greater influence with respect to the assisted living industry; and WHEREAS, the dedication of the women and men of the Louisiana Assisted Living Association have made a significant and positive difference in communities throughout the state, and the members of the association merit a special measure of commendation for their achievement in this regard. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby designate Tuesday, May 14, 2024 as Assisted Living Day in Louisiana.
