Requests the La. Dept. of Health (LDH) to conduct a comprehensive review of all Louisiana
legislation pertaining to sickle cell disease to evaluate if the legislation aligns with current
conditions and meets the demands of service delivery and systems of care in this state.
Requires LDH to make recommendations to the governor and legislature to strengthen state
law related to sickle cell disease.
Requires LDH to submit a summary report of recommendations no later than Feb. 14, 2025.
