Existing law provides for the designation of controlled dangerous substances in Schedules
I, II, III, IV, and V of existing law (Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law).
New law retains existing law and adds Tianeptine, a non-prescription antidepressant, to
Schedule I of existing law.
Effective August 1, 2024.
