(8/1/24) 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 32:386.1, relative to commercial truck permits; to provide for 3 a multi-use permit; and to provide for related matters. 4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 5 Section 1. R.S. 32:386.1 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง386.1. Blanket oversize yearly permit; fees 7 Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the Department 8 of Transportation and Development shall establish a blanket oversize yearly permit 9 for vehicles the width of which does not exceed twelve feet, the height of which does 10 not exceed fourteen feet and four inches, a length not to exceed ninety feet, and the 11 front and rear overhang of which does not exceed twenty-five feet. The fee for this 12 yearly permit shall be five hundred dollars and upon application the secretary 13 shall issue a special permit authorizing the vehicle or combination of vehicles 14 to operate with the use of one permit. The secretary shall promulgate rules and 15 regulations to provide for the implementation of this Section.
