DIGEST SB 43 Engrossed 2024 Regular Session McMath Present law authorizes a retired qualified law enforcement officer who was a full-time employee and commissioned by the agency or office from which he retired and is carrying the identification required by his office as a retired law enforcement officer, to carry a concealed firearm anywhere in the state, including any place open to the public. Proposed law authorizes a retired reserve law enforcement officer that meets all the other qualifications of a retired law enforcement officer to carry a concealed firearm anywhere in the state, including any place open to the public.
