SUMMARY OF HOUSE AMENDMENTS TO THE SENATE BILL
1. Adds provision that the purchase of property may include an installment
purchase over multiple years.
2. Adds provisions for determining consideration for the property transaction.
3. Adds requirement that proceeds be credited to the University of New Orleans

Present law authorizes the president of the University of Louisiana System, as authorized
by the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System, and the commissioner
of administration to transfer certain state property in Orleans Parish to the Ogden Museum
of Southern Art.
Proposed law retains these provisions in present law including any including any agreement
allowing for the conveyance, transfer, assignment, or delivery of title as an installment
purchase over multiple years. Requires that The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Inc., be
credited for any maintenance, upkeep, repairs, capital contributions, or any other
expenditures made in determining the appropriate consideration for the transfer.
Proposed law requires that any and all proceeds from the sale of the property described in
present law shall be credited to the University of New Orleans to be used at its sole
discretion.
Provides that the authority granted in present law terminates on June 30, 2024.
Proposed law extends this terminate date to June 30, 2028.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
