ROADS/HIGHWAYS. Designates a portion of Interstate 12 in St. Tammany Parish as the
"Patricia 'Pat' Brister Memorial Bridge". (8/1/24)
1 AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate an elevated portion of Interstate 12 in St.
3 Tammany Parish as the "Patricia 'Pat' Brister Memorial Bridge"; to provide for
4 restrictions on costs of materials to the department; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
8 the elevated portion of Interstate 12 in St. Tammany Parish between mile
9 marker sixty and mile marker sixty-two, which crosses the Tchefuncte River,
10 is hereby designated as the "Patricia 'Pat' Brister Memorial Bridge".
11 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby
12 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided
13 local or private monies are received by the department equal to the
14 department's actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
15 installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per
16 sign.
