Proposed law prohibits certain psychiatric facilities from being located within one-half mile from
a elementary or secondary school, early learning centers, certain child-care providers, residential
areas, or public parks.
Proposed law authorizes a local governing authority to establish additional requirements for the
psychiatric facilities in proposed law.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
