RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 769 (SB 487) 2024 Regular Session Cathey New law requires a hospital that treats a minor that is suspected of an opioid overdose to conduct a urine drug screen on the minor that shall include testing for the presence of fentanyl. New law requires the hospital to report de-identified test results of any screening conducted in accordance with new law that detects fentanyl to the La. Dept. of Health. New law requires a hospital to complete the reporting requirements established in new law and to comply with existing mandatory reporting requirements established in the Children's Code.
