ROADS/HIGHWAYS. Designates a portion of Louisiana Highway 425 in Franklin Parish
as the "Lainey Wilson Highway". (8/1/24)
1 AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 425 in
3 Franklin Parish as the "Lainey Wilson Highway"; to provide for restrictions on costs
4 of materials to the department; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the
7 portion of Louisiana Highway 15 in Franklin Parish from the intersection of Louisiana
8 Highway 577 to Big Creek Road is hereby designated as the "Lainey Wilson Highway".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby
10 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided local or
11 private monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs
12 for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed
13 the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.
