ROADS/HIGHWAYS. Designates a portion of Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish as the
"Trooper Hung Le Memorial Highway". (8/1/24)
1 AN ACT
2 To provide relative to state highways; to designate a portion of Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa
3 Parish as the "Trooper Hung Le Memorial Highway"; to provide for restrictions on
4 costs of materials to the department; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
7 the portion of Interstate 55 between mile marker sixteen and mile marker
8 twenty-three in Tangipahoa Parish is hereby designated as the "Trooper Hung
9 Le Memorial Highway".
10 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby
11 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs of this designation provided
12 local or private monies are received by the department equal to the
13 department's actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
14 installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per
15 sign.
