Present law provides for certain restrictions on the taking of turkeys.
Proposed law retains present law and prohibits the taking of a juvenile male turkey with a beard
length under six inches, unless the turkey is taken by a properly licensed youth hunter participating
in a special turkey season for youths.
Effective August 1, 2024.
