1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend MY PADNAS for winning first place at the 22nd annual Louisiana Crawfish
3 Boil Championships held on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
4 WHEREAS, the 22nd annual Louisiana Crawfish Boil Championships were held at
5 Immaculate Conception School in the heart of Jefferson Parish on March 23, 2024; and
6 WHEREAS, the crawfish is Louisiana's official state crustacean, and boiling large
7 quantities of crawfish to juicy perfection is a world-renowned Louisiana culinary art and
8 tradition; and
9 WHEREAS, the Louisiana Crawfish Boil Championships are sanctioned by the state
10 as the official boiling championships; and
11 WHEREAS, every year, the event provides a day of family fun, music, and a cook-
12 off competition featuring corn, potatoes, sausage, and of course, all the crawfish attendants
13 can sample; and
14 WHEREAS, this year's championships boasted forty-five teams boiling thousands
15 of pounds of crawfish in a battle royale to impress the refined palates of the judges; and
16 WHEREAS, MY PADNAS rose to the challenge, capturing the coveted
17 championship belt and bragging rights to the best-tasting boiled crawfish in the state, besting
18 a top five of worthy challengers, including Magnolia Mud Hustlers, Pacific Gulf Wire Rope,

1 Inc., Ditch Diggers, and Crustacean Nation.
2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
3 does hereby commend MY PADNAS on winning first place at the 22nd annual Louisiana
4 Crawfish Boil Championships held on March 23, 2024.
5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
6 Kenneth Lew.
