Present law requires that a sun screening device used in conjunction with automotive safety glazing materials have a light transmission of at least 40% on front side windows, 25% on side windows behind the driver, and at least 12% on the rearmost windows. Further prohibits sun screening devices that have a luminous reflectance of more than 20%. Additionally, provides certain exemptions to present law.
