Abstract: Authorizes community policing as an additional source of compensation for a deputy
marshal.
Present law authorizes the marshal to use a portion of his salary to supplement the salary of a deputy
marshal in addition to the compensation the deputy receives from the local governing authority.
Proposed law adds community policing as an additional source of compensation for a deputy
marshal.
