HB 164 Original 2025 Regular Session Billings
Abstract: Provides for a license to be issued to quail and mallard hunting preserves outside of the
coastal zone.
Present law provides for the La. Wildlife and Fisheries Commission to issue licenses for hunting
preserves within the state to permit the releasing and shooting or taking of pen-raised quail and pen-
raised mallards.
Proposed law provides that the licenses be issued only outside the coastal zone except for hunting
preserves that were designated as such prior to Jan. 1, 2025.
