WATERWAYS:  Removes the designated deadline the board of the Amite River Basin
Drainage and Water Conservation District has to promulgate regulations for
watershed management within the district
1	AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 38:3306(A)(2)(introductory paragraph), relative to the Amite
3 River Basin Drainage and Water Conservation District; to remove the deadline for
4 the board to promulgate regulations for watershed management; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  R.S. 38:3306(A)(2)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and
8reenacted to read as follows:
9 ยง3306.  General powers and duties of the board

Abstract:  Removes the deadline for the board of commissioners of the Amite River Basin
Drainage and Water Conservation District to promulgate regulations for watershed
management.
Present law requires that the board of the Amite River Basin Drainage and Water
Conservation District promulgate regulations for watershed management by Jan. 1, 2026.
Proposed law removes the requirement that the regulations be promulgated by Jan. 1, 2026.
