HIGHWAYS: Designates a portion of Louisiana Highway 3188 as the "Veterans Memorial
Highway"
1 AN ACT
2To designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 3188 in LaPlace, Louisiana as the "Veterans
3 Memorial Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The portion of Louisiana Highway 3188 in Laplace, Louisiana beginning
6at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 3188 and Interstate 10 and ending at the
7intersection of Louisiana Highway 3188 and United States Highway 61 shall be known and
8is hereby designated as the "Veterans Memorial Highway".
9 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development is hereby directed
10to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation provided local or private
11monies are received by the department equal to the department's actual costs for material,
12fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of five
13hundred fifty dollars per sign.

and I-10 and ending at the intersection of LA 3188 and U.S. 61 as the "Veterans Memorial
Highway".
Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting the highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
