WATERWAYS: Extends the period for which the Comite River is exempt from certain provisions of the Louisiana Scenic Rivers Act 1 AN ACT 2To amend and reenact R.S. 56:1855(M)(2) and (P)(1)(introductory paragraph), relative to 3 the Louisiana Scenic Rivers Act; to extend the date for which permit exceptions are 4 allowed; and to provide for related matters. 5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 56:1855(M)(2) and (P)(1)(introductory paragraph) are hereby 7amended and reenacted to read as follows: 8 ยง1855. Exceptions 9 * * * 10 M. 11 * * * 12 (2) Notwithstanding other provisions of R.S. 56:1853, clearing and snagging, 13 and dredging operations for drainage purposes, in Bayou Manchac shall be permitted 14 by the department in accordance with the requirements and procedures provided for 15 in R.S. 56:1849.
