Abstract: Provides for the use of monies in the East Baton Rouge Parish Enhancement Fund.
Present law establishes the East Baton Rouge Parish Enhancement Fund and provides for uses of the
monies in the fund. Allowable uses include appropriations for urban mass transit, to the Riverside
Centroplex Arena and Exhibition Center, and to the Baton Rouge Sports Foundation. However,
provides that no funds shall be used to pay the salary or related benefits of the executive director of
the Baton Rouge Sports Foundation.
Proposed law repeals the appropriation to the Baton Rouge Sports Foundation and restriction against
use for the salary or related benefits of the foundation's executive director. Appropriates monies in
the fund to Visit Baton Rouge to promote athletic events, facilities, and sporting events in East Baton
Rouge Parish. Retains all other provision of present law.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
