Abstract: Provides for state supplemental pay to fire protection officers employed by an airport
authority
Present constitution authorizes the legislature to provide state supplemental pay by law to sworn,
commissioned law enforcement officers employed by the state or its political subdivisions and for
fire protection officers employed by a port authority.
Proposed constitution retains present constitution and authorizes the legislature to provide state
supplemental pay by law to fire protection officers employed by an airport authority.
Provides for submission of the proposed amendment to the voters at the statewide election to be held
Nov. 3, 2026.
