Abstract: Provides relative to the construction of a roof in the coastal zone boundary.
Present law provides for requirements and prohibitions for the State Uniform Construction Code.
Proposed law retains requirements and prohibitions in present law and adds the requirement that for
the entirety of a parish that is in the coastal zone boundary, defined by present law, all new roofs and
replacement roofs constructed on residential property shall meet or exceed the standards of a fortified
roof.
