Abstract: Abolishes the Nursing Supply and Demand Council and the Simulation Medical Training
and Education Council for La. and provides for the La. Health Works Commission.
Present law creates the La. Health Works Commission (commission) and provides for its purpose,
membership, and powers and duties.
Proposed law retains present law and adds to the duties that the commission will carry out the duties
once assigned to the Nursing Supply and Demand Council and the Simulation Medical Training and
Education Council for La.
Present law provides for the membership of the commission.
Proposed law adds 2 members to the commission.
Present law establishes an executive committee for the commission and provides for the composition
of that committee.
Proposed law creates 2 additional committees within the commission, the Nursing Supply and
Demand Committee and the Simulation Medical Training and Education Committee, and provides
for the composition of those committees.
Present law provides for the Simulation Medical Training and Education Council for La., its purpose,
membership, and reporting requirements.
