Abstract:  Establishes the maximum fees that may be charged by the La. Dept. of Health (LDH) at
a parish health unit for certain healthcare services.
Present law directs LDH to charge and collect a $10 administrative fee in a parish health units for
each childhood vaccination visit by a patient whose other pediatric services are provided outside of
LDH's system. 
Proposed law increases the maximum amount that LDH may charge and collect for each childhood
vaccination visit by a patient whose other pediatric services are provided outside of LDH's system
to an amount not greater than $50.
Present law directs LDH to charge and collect an administrative fee of $25 in a parish health unit for
administering international immunizations for foreign travel.
Proposed law increases the maximum amount that LDH may charge and collect for administering
international immunizations for foreign travel to an amount not greater than $50.
Present law authorizes LDH to charge and collect a clinic service copayment fee of $5 per clinic
service and $5 per pharmacy service, for a maximum total of $10 per clinic visit  for each service
performed in a parish health unit. 
Proposed law authorizes LDH to charge and collect a clinic service copayment fee not to exceed $25
per clinic visit and not exceed $25 per pharmacy service, for a maximum total of $50 per clinic visit,
for each service performed in a parish health unit.
Proposed law provides that LDH may publish a current fee schedules by promulgating administrative
rules and LDH shall post the current fee schedule in each parish health unit and on LDH's website. 
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
