HIGHWAYS/INTERSTATE: Designates a bridge and portion of of a certain LA Highway
1 AN ACT
2To designate the Intracoastal Waterway Gulf Outlet Bridge on Louisiana Highway 47 in
3 Orleans Parish as the "Vietnam War Veterans Green Bridge"; to designate a portion
4 of Louisiana Highway 20 in LaFourche Parish as the "Martha Ann Woods-Shareef
5 Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The Intracoastal Waterway Gulf Outlet Bridge on Louisiana Highway 47
8in Orleans Parish shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Vietnam War Veterans
9Green Bridge".
10 Section 2. The portion of Louisiana Highway 20, at the intersection of Louisiana
11Highway 20 and Louisiana Highway 307, at the LaFourche and St. James Parish line, shall
12be known and is hereby designated as the "Martha Ann Woods-Shareef Highway".
13 Section 3. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
14hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting these designations
15provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
16actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
17exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Designates the Intracoastal Waterway Gulf Outlet Bridge on La. Hwy. 47 in Orleans Parish
as the "Vietnam War Veterans Green Bridge".
Designates a portion of La. Hwy. 20, at the intersection of La. Hwy. 20 and La. Hwy. 307,
at the LaFourche and St. James Parish line, as the "Martha Ann Woods-Shareef Highway".
Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting these designations provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
