Abstract: Permits the state registrar to issue a death certificate to a notary assisting an heir of the
deceased in preparing a small succession.
Present law allows the state registrar to issue a death certificate to certain individuals.
Proposed law adds a notary to the individuals eligible to receive a death certificate if he attests, in
writing, that he is assisting an heir in preparation of a small succession.
