Abstract: Abolishes the West Feliciana Parish Port Commission and repeals all the powers and
duties of the commission.
Present law creates the West Feliciana Parish Port Commission which is comprised of nine members
from the parish of West Feliciana. Additionally, grants the commission various powers and duties,
including taxing and bonding authority.
Proposed law abolishes the West Feliciana Parish Port Commission and repeals all of its powers and
duties. Specifies that the West Feliciana Parish governing authority is the port's successor for any
unfinished business and litigation purposes. Specifies that the obligations of the commission become
the obligations of the governing authority.
