COMMENDATIONS: Commends First Baptist Church Bernice on the occasion of its one
hundred twenty-fifth anniversary

2To commend First Baptist Church Bernice on the occasion of its one hundred twenty-fifth
3 anniversary.
4 WHEREAS, First Baptist Church Bernice was established in 1900 and has faithfully
5served as a beacon of hope, spiritual guidance, and community service for the citizens of
6Bernice, Louisiana, and beyond; and
7 WHEREAS, for the past one hundred twenty-five years, First Baptist Church Bernice
8has impacted countless lives through its dedication to service and sharing the Gospel and
9provided the community with a foundation of worship, discipleship, and ministry; and
10 WHEREAS, First Baptist Church Bernice has played an integral role in developing
11the spiritual and social fabric of the Bernice community by offering programs for people of
12all ages, fostering strong family values, and supporting missions both locally and globally;
13and
14 WHEREAS, First Baptist Church Bernice has stood as a testament to unwavering
15faith and resilience by adapting and growing to meet the needs of its congregation and the
16greater community across generations; and
17 WHEREAS, as First Baptist Church Bernice marks this historic milestone, it is fitting
18to recognize the pastors, leaders, members, and supporters who have contributed to the
19church's legacy and continued its mission of faith and service; and
20 WHEREAS, First Baptist Church Bernice is most deserving of the highest
21recognition for its enduring legacy of faith, service, and community impact over the past one

1hundred twenty-five years, and the anniversary presents an opportunity to celebrate the
2church's rich history and look forward with gratitude and anticipation for the future.
3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
4Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend First Baptist Church Bernice on the occasion
5of its one hundred twenty-fifth anniversary and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that the
6church community continue to prosper in all of its spiritual endeavors and build upon its
7impressive legacy for many years to come.
