SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH: Commends the Geaux Far Louisiana Coalition and
designates April 15, 2025, as Geaux Far Day at the state capitol
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Geaux Far Louisiana Coalition and designate Tuesday, April 15, 2025, as
3 Geaux Far Day at the state capitol.
4 WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana was established in 2021 with thirty-six individuals
5from various sectors advocating for the needs of Louisiana's children from prenatal to five
6years with intentional centering of parents and early childhood providers; and
7 WHEREAS, Geaux Far believes in a unified early childhood system and has
8identified five goals to ensure families have access to seamless, high-quality early child
9development, health, and educational services; and
10 WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana collaborates with Louisiana-based partner
11organizations dedicated to carrying out specific objectives within each goal area that aligns
12with the work they are already doing; and
13 WHEREAS, all families in Louisiana want their children to be healthy, happy, and
14thriving; healthy families and young children, prenatal to age five, are the backbone of
15thriving communities and economic vitality for our state; and
16 WHEREAS, by engaging parents, educators, policymakers, and community leaders,
17Geaux Far Louisiana aims to shape policies, advocate for change, and improve outcomes for
18young learners statewide; and
19 WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana encourages individuals to become "Champions
20for Children" by lending their voices, time, and talents to advocate for legislative policies.

1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
2Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Geaux Far Louisiana Coalition and does
3hereby designate Tuesday, April 15, 2025, as Geaux Far Day at the state capitol.
