HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 54

A RESOLUTION
To commend the Louisiana State University in Shreveport baseball team on its record start
to the 2025 season.
WHEREAS, the Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS) baseball team is
currently ranked Number 1 in the Red River Athletic Conference and in the entire NAIA;
and
WHEREAS, the LSUS baseball team is currently undefeated this season with a
perfect 44-0 record; and
WHEREAS, the LSUS baseball team has already clinched the Red River Athletic
Conference title for 2025; and
WHEREAS, the LSU in Shreveport baseball team first tied and then shattered the
previous all-time record for the longest winning streak in NAIA baseball history (41-0), held
by Point Park University, with its 44-0 start; and
WHEREAS, the LSUS baseball team currently stands only two wins short of the
all-time longest winning streak in four-year college baseball history of 46-0.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Louisiana State University in Shreveport
baseball team on its record start to the 2025 season.
