SPECIAL DAY/WEEK/MONTH: Designates April 24, 2025, as Junior League Day at the
state capitol and commends the Junior League for its contributions to Louisiana

2To designate Thursday, April 24, 2025, as Junior League Day at the state capitol and to
3 commend the Junior League for its contributions to Louisiana.
4 WHEREAS, the Junior League is an organization whose mission is to advance
5women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action,
6collaboration, and training; and
7 WHEREAS, the Junior Leagues of Baton Rouge, Greater Covington, Lafayette,
8Monroe, New Orleans, and Shreveport-Bossier are made up of several thousand members
9who work to have a positive impact on the lives of residents across Louisiana; and
10 WHEREAS, the Junior Leagues of Baton Rouge, Greater Covington, Lafayette,
11Monroe, New Orleans, and Shreveport-Bossier have made significant financial investments
12in their communities through their community assistance funds and grant opportunities with
13other partner organizations; these efforts aim to support community projects that enhance
14the overall quality of life and contribute to the civic vitality of our state; and
15 WHEREAS, the Junior League and all of its affiliates are most deserving of the
16highest recognition for their continued efforts to uplift Louisiana.
17 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
18Legislature of Louisiana does hereby designate Thursday, April 24, 2025, as Junior League
19Day at the state capitol and does hereby commend the Junior League for its contributions to
20the state.
