DIGEST SB 11 Engrossed 2025 Regular Session Luneau Present law provides vehicles driven at a speed of 10 miles per hour less than the posted speed limit in the left lane, other than for practicable purposes, are fined $100 or less, or no more than 30 days imprisonment, or both. Proposed law removes the 10 miles per hour or less parameter for the purposes of punishment. Proposed law further changes the fine from $100 or less to a first offense of $150, second offense of $250, and third offense of $350. Proposed law further allows imprisonment of up to 30 days for a third subsequent offense within a 12 month period of the first offense or imprisonment up to 30 days, or both.
